The ‘old man’ of Nike’s current stable of boots, the Tiempo Legend III gets a classy send off in what may well be the final colourway of these much loved football boots.

Team Red/Metallic Platinum/Deep Burgundy may well be the longest ever colourway name we’ve ever come across, which seems fitting for Nike’s longest running football boots – and it’s also one of the nicest we’ve seen on Nike’s classically styled cleats.

‘Unique’ is definitely one of the words we’d use to describe them (though maybe not the same way we’d describe the PowerCat Tokyo as ‘Unique!’) as there’s very few football boots on the market that could pull off an all-red colourway such as this.

Like the Oxblood Speciali that was released early last year, there’s something about this type of Red that really shows off the quality of the K-Leather used on some top-range football boots.

And the Metallic Platinum shows off some of the neat design touches that go into theTiempo Legend III, like the piping on the heel counter, trim on the tongue and the ‘Est. 1984′ text on the toe-end of the sole!

Released as the second 'elite' edition of the CTR Maestri II range, this latest colour-way looks to be another great addition to Nike's second generation of CTR boots.

The result of extensive research and player testing, the new Nike CTR360 Maestri II Elite football boots feature lightweight construction, intricate engineering and carbon-enforced strength for superior performance.

The obvious feature that sets the Elite versions apart from the standard versions is the carbon fibre sole-plate which since it's introduction on the Mercurial SL football boots, have been a seemingly popular addition to Nike boots. There is certainly an extra 'cool' factor about the Nike Elite boots but the performance advantage remains open to debate. Either way, the black carbon-fibre sole plate undeniably looks the part.

One of the main features of the CTR 360 Maestri II football boots is the memory foam insert that is designed to give you exceptional control and optimal sensitivity on the ball. This unique feature offers the player a perfect balance between precision and speed. This zone is further enhanced by the asymmetrical lacing system expanding the ball control area.

The carbon fibre sole plate offers a better grip and guarantees lasting support and maximum lightness. Reducing the weight carried by players helps reduce the energy needed over the course of 90 minutes. The T90 Laser III arrives in a clean, crisp looking White/Black/Chlorine Blue colourway. The boot is predominantly white (so we expect so see Fernando Torres in a pair of these) while the strike-zone on the instep and the silicon pods are black. The heel counter and sole plate feature a great looking pattern detail. The colourway is brought to life by the suttle ‘chlorine’ highlight around the Nike tick on the outstep and the sole.

This incarnation of the T90 range involves the new ShotShield technology, with instep pods ensuring even pressure on the ball at impact for accuracy, whereas fins are strategically positioned at a different angle and a different height to enable the player to control the swerve of the ball.

The upper material is a combination of lightweight Teijin synthetic leather and Nike’s unique Kanga-Lite material, whilst a thin layer of shape correction memory foam around the toe area helps as regards better kicking accuracy.
